French Montana creates a track that is undeniably captivating and surprisingly soulful and moving called “Unforgettable”. Despite the lyrics being the typical flat and routine ego-centered male bravado rhetoric in a more subtle manner, the chorus, sung by Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, is catchy and memorable and definitely 🔥🔥🔥. Following the Afro-beat growing trend, we have yet another hit from the influences of a sector of African music.

Quite frankly, this video kind of blew me away. Shot in Uganda and introducing the young kids from the Triplets Ghetto Kids, the video seems to represent a higher vision from a humanity and cultural exchange standpoint. The inspiration behind the video is said to have come from Montana’s adoration of Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids and rightly so. They are a part of the Triplets Foundation Uganda (TFU), a non-profit organization that helps kids get back in school to build the future of those kids and their country. With half of the entire population of Uganda being kids, with an average age of 15, the children face challenges of going into child labour or being homeless and dying young. School is simply a luxury in Uganda and most do not get the opportunity to go.

Born in Morocco, looks like Montana got a little closer to his roots and it paid off!

After spending 8 weeks on the charts; the gold selling-single, “Unforgettable”, has reached the Top 10 at number 8 on this week’s R&B Hip Hop Single Sales. Selling 20,235, a 41% increase from last week. It is clear that this Uganda anthem is starting to commercially match its viral notoriety after everyone from Diddy, Drake & Swizz Beatz participated in the #UnforgettableDanceChalleng. Like I said, the native kids from Uganda MADE THIS VIDEO and now masses hopefully know about the Triplets Foundation Uganda.

Yes, the dancing in the video is incredible and the production (Jaegen, 1Mind and C.P Dubb) of the track is poetic and beautifully haunting. However, what makes this record unforgettable are the Triplets Ghetto kids from the Triplets Foundation Uganda!
