I have been a fan of supercars my whole life!!! I have also been a fan of the futurism embodied by BMW’s Vision concept car when they sealed the deal back in March! But, actually, seeing the visuals were something different. The car simply looks incredible. It’s like the perfect snapshot of the future. It has a huge inside; all touch everything. What else is needed?

Adrian van Hooydonk, who is the head of BMW Group Design, says that, “if you are able to imagine something there’s a good chance it could one day become reality.”  And this is something I learned early on. With BMW setting the developmental horizon for the next 20 to 30 years, they are looking far beyond the current trend of adding more displays to the interior of cars; but to the point where the entire windscreen will serve as a giant display, which is crazy in itself.

On the outside, a new Alive Geometry, mmm will shift the car’s shape in accordance with how it is being driven; flaring out or tapering down as required a system like this will for sure have to be perfected. Now this is what takes things to a whole other level! We have seen a lot of concepts of what the next thing will be, but nothing like this has ever been presented.

The whole idea of the BMW Vision Next 100 cars is to create concepts that people can engage with and the company firmly believes that the emotional driving experience must be informed by emotional design. This is what makes BMW the ultimate driving machine. That’s why the headlights look like a falcon’s talons and why the golden honey paintjob splinters out into small polygons as it morphs from the metal exterior to the darkened windows. You literally would have to see it yourself!

I have attached a link for all you car lovers to have a peek at what the FUTURE looks like, I hope it excites you just as much as it excited me.
