Here is a great exercise that nurtures phenomenal toning and shaping of your legs and butt. Step ups are a very basic, but highly effective movement for improving stability and strength in the legs! The step up is a very well structured drill that will force you to strengthen each leg individually. VERY IMPORTANT. This drill is great for making sure both sides of the body are equally strong. When performing this move, be sure you have your entire foot completely on the elevated surface of choice. This way you activate the correct muscles while performing the exercise.

If you want to increase the resistance and make it more challenging, add a pair of dumbbells of your choice. Be sure to take your time and focus on good form as opposed to speed.
