Where devotion, decadence, and gratitude coexist.
For the past few years, I have chosen to welcome the New Year in a quieter, far more sacred way—by my parents’ side. As they grow more senior, time with them has become my most precious currency. Especially after my mother’s stroke, every shared second feels illuminated, irreplaceable, and holy. Presence, in its truest form, has become the greatest luxury of all.
This year, however, arrived differently.
An invitation found me—unexpected and shimmering—extended by one of my girlfriends to ring in the New Year in St. Barthélemy. And if you know me, you know I am drawn to places where the sun kisses you just right—where the ocean shifts between crystal clarity and impossible shades of turquoise, and where nature conspires to remind you how beautiful it is to be alive.
I had brushed against the Caribbean before—St. Thomas, St. Maarten—fleeting encounters by way of a cruise. But St. Barths was something else entirely. A different frequency. Decadent, luxurious, elegant, and effortlessly joyful. A place where time softens and beauty feels intentional.
And always within view were the yachts – not just boats, but statements. IFloating architectural marvels. Jeff Bezos–level yachts—cinematic, surreal, almost mythic in scale. They moved through the harbor like modern-day palaces at sea, quietly redefining what abundance can look like when it is refined, deliberate, and unbothered.
Yet for all its opulence, what grounded me most was gratitude—especially for my precious mother, who lovingly encouraged me to go. Her blessing felt like permission: to receive joy without guilt, to expand without apology, to honor life not only through devotion, but through delight.

Nikki Beach is iconic for a reason. Sun-drenched luxury unfolds across white loungers and rhythmic beats, where champagne flows freely and the energy is electric yet carefree. It’s indulgence with a soundtrack—effortless, celebratory, and quintessentially St. Barths.
La Guérite Beach
La Guérite feels like a secret whispered among those who know. Mediterranean flavors, rustic elegance, and soulful music combine to create a beachside experience that feels intimate and alive. Dancing barefoot between courses feels inevitable here—joy expressed through movement, laughter, and shared plates.
L’Isola
L’Isola is refined indulgence at its purest. Authentic Italian cuisine, impeccable wines, and an atmosphere steeped in quiet sophistication. It’s the kind of place where conversations linger, flavors deepen, and time politely slows down.
Benito
Benito offers an elevated coastal dining experience with front-row views of the harbor and yachts gliding by. The seafood is pristine, the ambiance relaxed yet polished—a perfect harmony of island ease and culinary excellence.
Shellona Beach
Shellona is sun-soaked serenity with a pulse. Think bohemian luxury, earthy textures, and a Greek-inspired menu that feels both nourishing and indulgent. The vibe is chic but grounded—a place to stretch out the day, let conversations wander, and watch the light dance on the water.
St. Barths gave me more than a destination—it offered perspective. A reminder that life can be both tender and extravagant. That devotion and delight can coexist. That joy, when embraced consciously, becomes a form of reverence.
I returned richer—not just in memories, but in permission: to live beautifully, boldly, and with an open heart.
