Word on the streets is that LVMH has made $23 Billion USD in earnings, creating a 23% profit increase for the luxury conglomerate. And the reason for this growth is largely due to the Louis Vuitton collaboration with Supreme. In fact, “the Parisian fashion staple has called the Supreme x LV collab a “highlight” in its recovery” according to Hypebeast.com.

As a consumer who loves to combine high fashion and street fashion, the beauty in all of this is the fact that street style provides high end fashion with more edge and flavor and now apparently more money. Consequently, the respect of street lifestyle brands are elevating and bringing diversity to what we consider high fashion.

The resale market on the Supreme x LV collab is skyrocketing. Take this sweater below for example: priced at originally $450 and resold for anywhere from $5k to $7k. Now when I pass Supreme on Fairfax blvd. in LA perplexed at why the people are sleeping outside and the line is wrapped around the block, I know exactly why they are patiently waiting. These folks stand to make more than 10x more on the product than LV & Supreme does. Mind boggling for sure, but all facts!
